Dynamics GP to BC - Migration Assessment

Ready to Move from GP to BC? Start Your Cloud Migration Journey Today

This website  is the online home for Microsoft’s Dynamics GP-to-Business Central Migration Assessment Tool. This tool is designed specifically to help organizations planning their move from Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) to Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud.

🔍 What It Does:

  • Migration Readiness Scan: The tool connects to your existing GP SQL database to assess the data, modules, customizations, ISVs, and overall setup of your system.

  • Risk & Complexity Insights: It analyzes the structure and identifies potential migration issues—such as unsupported customizations or problematic data formats—and offers suggestions to address them early.

  • Migration Roadmap: You receive a personalized report outlining which companies/modules are ready to move, what data tables to migrate, and what steps (like testing or cleanup) will help ensure a smooth cloud transition.

🛠️ Why Use It?

  • Streamlines Your Assessment Phase: Skips the guesswork—with one tool, you quickly see how ready you are to migrate and what prep work is needed.

  • Based on Microsoft’s Official Process: Builds on Microsoft's documented migration flow for Dynamics GP to Business Central, starting with this assessment phase.
